There are wireless GameCube controllers (and non-wireless).

In addition, while the GameCube controllers don’t make the game as “mobile,” the Wiimote still presents a small disadvantage. RELATED: 5 Best Nintendo Wii Add Ons (& 5 To Avoid) And yet, they found shooting arrows with the Wiimote satisfying. Because of this transition, gamers found the sword-swinging awkward. On the other hand, while the Wiimote is better at directing attacks, the GameCube controller feels firmer, meaning that the moves and reflexes happen quicker. Gamers could also possess three items simultaneously, as opposed to the GameCube’s limit of just two. In addition, the Wiimote helps players break a little sweat through gesture recognition and pointing. This made aiming more accurate and efficient. While sounds on the GameCube version came out through the screen, the Wii version had the sounds come out of the remote. Ok, I know this all comes down to our opinions in the end but there's no way you can think this haha. This is a detail unique to the Wii. The only item that really doens't get a lot of use is the Dominion Rod but it's still a great item in that dungeon. Bow and Arrow and Iron Boots are used in better ways. They all get used out of their dungeons and are fun to use. Gale Boomerang, Double Clawshots, Ball and Chain, Spinner. sure they have 2 "fun" items that are only used in their dungeon. It has emotional moments that OoT lacks.īetter items. Link is expressive and an actual character in the world who has relationships with other characters and a role in his society. It's not basic like OoT's, has great use of supporting characters, character development and world building.

Plus the time skip is a good narrative tool. Story is trash, I prefer the simplicity of OOT's. It's split up into sections that all connect in interesting ways when you unlock everything. The level design is more interesting as it's not just a wide open space with Lon Lon Ranch in the middle. People always seem to overlook this aspect but there's about as much as there is in WW to find. There are more secrets, collectables, puzzles and mini dungeons to find in the overworld. Stallord for example, is just a blast.īetter overworld is false too, it's just bigger but it's not more interesting. colorffffff color333333 The Twilight Princess HD Project /color /color We have moved the projects direction from a texture pack. Even if the bosses are easy (OoT's bosses are easy too) they are a lot more fun to fight. Better themes, better set pieces, better puzzles, more inventive bosses. Wind Waker's combat is closer to OoT's than TP so it's weird to give it credit for trying when TP does more. They add variety to the combat along with the more battle orientated items as well as horse combat. You're forgetting about the hidden skills, Link is a lot more capable than he was in OoT. WW tried things with combat but it was still easy as piss but more interactive. The combat is on par with OOT ie super basic. The game's more linear story makes it easy to just keep going from point A to B to C, and given the large emphasis on horse back riding it makes sense to have open fields, but if you take the time to do some of the side quests and poke around the field, there's a good amount of content to be found. There's an in-game fortune teller who you can pay for tips on finding the heart pieces, but the game still leaves it for you to figure out the how on your own. There are secret grottoes everywhere, some of which are almost mini dungeons unto themselves. However, if you are taking the time to track down every heart piece, bug, and ghost, the world is actually surprisingly dense. I say this because, as others have said, there's a common complaint about the world being "big but empty". This is a little easier in the Wii U version with the Poe Lantern, but still very doable in the base version.

When I replayed Twilight Princess most recently, I went in with the goal of trying for 100% completion without using a guide. Tip for OP, and general observation about the game.
